Directories and Files “Rough’n’Ready” Guide

1.   CD Size: 499MB

2.   Root Directory

TIPS

 

If the CD does not boot up automatically, run the application “MPT_Tools.exe”  This will bring up the MPT_Tools Menu

 

If your computer does not seem to recognise that you have inserted the CD, eject the CD and try again.


·        If your drive has a tray that you place the CD on to, try stroking the edge of the CD very gently to give it a gentle spin.  When it stops, gently draw or push the tray back into the drive.

 

 

3.   Autoplay Directory

The “Docs” subdirectory holds all the documents that you will be accessing via

·        CD menus

·        hyperlinks embedded in Word documents on the CD.

 

4.   Path:  /Autoplay/Docs

4.1.                    ATWorkbookSite Directory

You can access the files in this directory from the MPT_Tools Menu, select:
Assistive Technology Workbook.  The files replicate this website: http://apa.org/divisions/div22/AT_workbook/index.html

4.2.                    MPT_Guide&Forms Directory

Further info below.

4.3.                    Project Data Directory

This directory contains a file to enable you to install “Quicktime” from the CD. 

You need Quicktime to run the MPT Multimedia Training Program.  If you do not already have Quicktime on your computer you can download it free from the internet or install it from this CD. 

4.4.                    Project.app Directory

You do not need to explore this directory.

4.5.                    MPT and ICF.pdf

This file can be accessed from the MPT_Tools Menu: select MPT and ICF/ISOStandards

4.6.                    MPTManual.pdf

This file can be accessed from the MPT_Tools Menu: select MPT Manual

4.7.                    Project.exe

This is the MPT Multimedia Training Program.  You should access this from the MPT_Tools Menu rather than by running the application directly.

 

 

5.   Path:  /Autoplay/Docs/MPT_Guide&Forms

The subdirectories contains all the MPT forms:

 

·        MPT_Forms_PDF:  Contains PDF files for printing to complete by hand.  You can access these from a Menu within the MPT Multimedia Training Program.  However, if you know which forms you want to print, it is quicker to access them directly from the CD.


·        MPT_Forms_Templates: Contains MSWord templates for the MPT forms in MSWord document format.


·        MPT_Forms_Word:  Does what it says on the tin!

 

The file MPT_Guide_to_forms.doc contains hyperlinks to the MSWord versions of the all the forms on the CD.  You can access this from the MPT_Tools Menu, select: MPT Guide and Forms

 

6.   Path:  /Autoplay/Docs/MPT_Guide&Forms /MPT_Forms_PDF

The only file you might be interested in here is QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe  Run this to install “Quicktime”.
